Judging by the front strap checkering in the photos I’m guessing it was a Colt Custom Shop job, which means there’s a good chance the finish is black cerakote.
The trigger kind of says Colt Custom Shop too, come to think of it.
The trigger looks like the standard 1991 long aluminum piece. The grip safety, extended thumb safety, hammer also look like Colt parts, though from the XSE lineup. My guess is that it’s the Tactical Package from Colt, and it’s a damn fine example of their work.
Anyone know what that Colt Tactical Package from the Custom Shop goes for?
Colt’s Tactical Package is 875.00 which includes refinishing.
