Official Rules - No Purchase or Contribution Necessary
- You will be automatically entered in the Police Officers Safety Association Raffle (Raffle) each time you donate $10.00 (one entry for each $10 donated) to the Police Officers Safety Association, Inc., a non-profit organization, at www.posai.org between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on 10/1/06 and 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 12/29/06. To enter without making a donation, you can request an Official Entry Form by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: POSA Entry Form Request, PO Box 25309, Rochester, NY 14625-0309, to be postmarked by 12/29/06 and received by 1/5/07; VT residents may omit return postage; Limit of one entry form per envelope. Enter as often as you wish, however each entry must be submitted or mailed separately. No mechanically reproduced entries will be honored. Online entrants must be the authorized account holder of the e-mail account from which the entry is made.
2.Raffle is open to legal residents of the United States currently residing in the U.S., age 18 or older, except residents of District of Columbia and Washington. Void in DC, WA, Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees of Police Officers Safety Association, Inc. (Sponsor), its advertising and production agencies, electronic media firms, Louder Than Words,Sweepstakes Consulting, LLC, and their immediate families and those living in the same household are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. </p>
- Prize: Louder Than Words custom Colt 1911, holster, knife and sheath ($12,000 approximateretail value or ARV). Any expenses not mentioned above are the winner’s responsibility. Winner is responsible for all taxes, insurance, license, title, and registration fees, and all other unspecified costs associated with claiming, registering and/or using the prize. Winner is required to have a valid driver’s license or proof of identification and will be required to complete an ATF Form #4473 and pass required background check(s) at his or her local firearms retailer that holds a valid Federal Firearms License. Transfer of the prize to the winner is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Winner must conform to all local, state and federal regulations as applicable and must make arrangements for delivery of firearms with appropriate federally licensed firearms dealers as required by State and Federal law. State and local laws, restrictions and regulations may limit or prohibit the sale, prize distribution,carry or use of prize. Prize advertised is not intended for prize distribution or sale inthose states, or in those areas where such items are prohibited by law. 4.Winner will be selected on or about 1/12/07 in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of Sweepstakes Consulting, LLC, an independent judging agency whose decisions are final. Winner will be notified by mail and required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, which must be returned within 14 days of the date on the notification letter or an alternate winner will be selected. Any prize notification letter or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. No substitution for prize except as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. In the event the winner is unable to take possession of the firearm portion of the prize, for any reason, the entire prize is forfeited. Prize acceptance constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s name and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any liability associated with the acceptance or use of a prize. Participants, by participating in this Raffle, hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless the Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have,or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause of thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part,directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize in the Raffle, or their participation in the Raffle, or their participation in any Raffle or prize relatedactivity, or any travel related to the Raffle, or any travel for any prize related activity. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or illegible entries or Internet technical, hardware, software, telephone, or transmission failures of any kind, which may limit a person’s ability to enter the Raffle. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the Raffle. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend advertising the Raffle on the Internet should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be disrupting the operation of the Raffle or its web site.
