Current Prices of a S&W MP-15 22

Hey guys, I was just offered quite a deal from my manager. He is looking to sell a brand new S&W MP-15 22 for $490.

I offered him $350 plus 250 rounds of .223 ammo.

I’m trying to get a picture of both availability and current retail prices of the S&W MP-15 22 in order to weigh out my options.

Any help would be great! Thank you!

thats a good deal, the other day I saw them going for a nice premium on gun broker but it looks like the prices have lowered a lot since I last looked.

Been looking for awhile and scored one last weekend at Walmart. I paid $447 new and availability is scarce .

I’ve seen them locally for 500-550 NIB within the past couple days. They used to be about 400 from a dealer, but that was about three years ago. As the price of regular AR’s jump, the sub-caliber versions will climb a little also.

But, for the price of ammo lately, and the availability it might even out.

My LGS regularly has them for $450.

$500-$599 in my area if you can find one. I paid $500 back in September for mine.

i agree - good price. havent run across anything that low. The fact that you know him should help too. He can tell you how it was used (or abused)

Can’t find answer in a search and don’t want to start a new thread. My M&P 15/22 only runs reliable with CCI ammo and the mags load funky and do not feed correctly with Winchester and remmington 22 lr. What are some other brands people are having success with. I hate buying a box of 500 to try and end up with jams. Thanks for any help!

Buy a box of 50 and try them. I just did that last week cause my local dealer had 5,000 rd boxes of CCI Blazer… it worked so I went back and bought 5,000rds

I’ve had good results with CCI Blazer and Federal Bulk.

I just grabbed one for 515 but with 4 mags. non threaded model.

there’s one on a local gun sight for 575$ with 4 mags and threaded and set up as a MOE model.

I don’t like MOE gear though.

ETA: and I got a few thousand rounds of minimags from CCI per web advice. I have thunderbolts, but apparently it’s harder to clean after using those.

Diezel has ran his pretty hard with bulk Federal and we witnessed no malfunctions. He also ran some CCI and again we didn’t witness any hiccups.

I got mine just after the incident in CT for $479 and paid an additional $18 for 5 mags; I still see them in my AO for around $500.

So far I am having the best success with CCI Mini Mags and the lead Blazer stuff; it will ocassionally have issues with the bulk Winchester packs, but it gives me a chance to do malf drills in real time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Federal Bulk, Federal Automatch, CCI Minimags, CCI Standard, Remington 22 Target, Remington Eley, and Wolf .22LR Match Extra.

All have been quite reliable. One dead primer with one of the CCI loads(I don’t remember which.)

I just picked one up in san Diego at big 5 for 499. But it was the last one in stock and they didn’t see any in the foreseeable future.

I just sold a 15/22 pistol for the outrageous “buy it now” price of $1K on funbroker. :confused: :D. Gotta say I am stunned! Only put the buy it now on there cause my buddy said they were going for silly money presently.
