Gents:
I’ve searched and read in the archives about Vltor’s CAS-V fore-end system. Most of the comments are from several years back, and I was curious. From reading about it, it seems obvious that Vltor produced a really quality piece of gear. (If both militarymoron and Grant give it the thumbs up, I’m inclined to respect their opinion.) It sounded as if it installed quickly, was hell for solid and stout, and allowed for a fair amount of customization.
Has it been surpassed by newer and “better” systems? Would it still be considered a valid and defensible choice for a free float handguard?
