Would it be possible to see individual states inact specific gun control legislation and thus suck some of the air out of the room with respect to draconian federal constraints? Certainly sucks harder for those residing in states clamping down but it would allow some of us to breathe a sigh of relief.
I’ve heard rumor of a law that it will be illegal to use (not own) pre ban magazines in the state after tomorrow.
It’s gun shop talk, but it’s something I kind of expected. He also used state authority to void a contract for a gun show in Albany that is being fought over in the courts.
I have know idea what is going to happen, but it would surprise me if he turns those of us living in this state into felons tomorrow.
Yeah, he is playing games. My local reps don’t support it, but I am sure he is willing to give in on a ton of other programs he has been fighting for a win.
We share hear it all in his address to the Politburo tomorrow.
Damn you, Uncle Sam, for putting me in this state!!
I see this as the only pathway to confiscation. You can’t pass it federally, and it would be too big a task to disarm everyone at once. Do it state by state, especially with a combo of goodies for the 47% and incentives for big business to back it.
We should have drawn the line in the sand about 79 years ago with the original NFA, but everyone was a bit hungry to be concerned about such things at the time.
Thinking more and more that it’s high time for some good old fashioned secession…
Republic of Texas anyone?
