All we as a group can do now is try to find a way, somehow, to turn this into a positive. It will be hard, for as we have seen lies, distortions and overt biased hatred have paid off big time for both the media and the administration.
So now what? Steyr says we need a more conservative candidate and most of us agree, yet what makes him or anyone else believe Romney lost because he was too liberal? Obama won largely because minorities have changed the tide of thought in this country, even white thought. Liberal is in and here in American it’s far more appealing for an immigrant or lazy assed piece of parasite shit to take the well paved road to an unknown destination than the bumpier dirt road to a known safe haven. Why? Because they don’t care about our tomorrows like we do. They fuck shit up everywhere they go, why should it be any different here?
Chuck Todd said early last night on MSNBC when things started looking good for them that it was specifically due to Romney not catering to both mexicans in VA and puerto ricans in FL he was losing them. This insanity has now permeated to the extent that we are to cater to the third world here in America or relinquish power.
Then you also have the almost always less than bright unionized workers doing their fare share to take all that their mobs can wrangle from the taxpayer. These idiots will watch their country burn so long as they collect their pensions, it’s like a bizarre and disgusting dynamic. I thought this monster was penned after the 2010 beat down, what in the hell happened this time now that the economy is even worse off?
So I ask, what can we do? Is waiting for Obama to fail really the best option? I’m sure he will, but who is left out there that even cares anymore? We need to find a way to restore faith in conservatism and make it clear to even the takers of the world that there will be nothing left for anyone if they try to take the easy way out. We just have to find a way to do it before there is indeed nothing left but regret and devastation.
I believe we will be forced to write off a certain percentage of the population no matter what. But surely there are many blacks, hispanics, union members and even dopey 23 year old idealologues that can be reasoned with and led via positive example. We just need a better plan before the economy collapses, a realistic and achievable plan.
What we need to do is go back to requiring folks to own land, or otherwise be productive, in order to vote. The founders knew this when they set things up. When the only stake you hold in the nation is the check that comes in the mailbox every month, bread and circuses is the result.
That’s not really a solution that’s possible, though, nor is carving out all those blue counties into independent city states and letting the rest of the nation get back on track.
We apparently can’t win running a RHINO moderate, so we might as well start backing true small govt fiscal conservatives with libertarian ideas about personal responsibility and choice.
First, Obombo ran a campaign on class-warfare…he was very sucessful.This was a classic socialist move. Romney was a easy target…His time at Baine, opposition to auto bailouts,obortion on demand, higher taxes for the “rich”,The fact that Obamacare was modeled after Romneycare, made it stupid easy to paint him as Satan himself. If the republicans want to win, They’re going to have to accept immigration, embrace it, offer better fiscal polices,(I mean complete with numbers that add up, not some vague "trust me "shit) and accept higher taxes for so called “rich” people. Somehow, they’re also going to have to find candidate who dosen’t have as many flaws as Romney had. Someone who is from a miniorty group, who is sucessful, understands business, is smart, and can relate to their struggles…Someone who has some fresh ideas… Mario Rubio? We all knew back in Jan. that Romney was a poor choice…He was, at best, the best looking horse at the glue factory. Frankly, at this point I’m hoping Obombo runs this country into the ground fiscally, only when the money runs out, and the checks ain’t coming anymore, do we, as a country have a chance, and if he does do it, that will be the ruin of the democratic party…As long as Republicans cling to the past, kotow to the extreme right, they will continue to lose elections, Mario Rubio, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, they are the future of the republican party,The ways of the past are no longer going to work,It’s now change or die…
Romney did not lose because he wasn’t conservative enough. He lost because the impression is that he is far too conservative.
Moderates swung Obama in this election and libertarians voted 3rd party because they felt Romney was too fundamentalist and too far to the right. That is what gave Obama the edge.
The GOP is suffering from not keeping up with the changing world.
Actually I’m pretty excited to see what my S&W stock does now. I’m already up 118% this might push it up over 200%! Of course with Obama’s new capital gains taxes I might only get a nickel back…
I don’t feel positive at all, in fact I had a terrible night’s sleep and am beyond disappointed. However there is no other option. All we can do now is adapt and overcome. Being that we live here, giving up or hiding isn’t an option.
There will be nothing positive about this AT ALL! Talking about fiscal problems and living them are two different harsh realities.
The BIGGEST thing that hurt Romney was the Main Steam Media that was in the bag for Obama in the first place, doing their best (and succeeding) to make their guy look good, though all the foreign policy, domestic energy, and labor have been a complete disaster. His record should not have allowed him to win, but it did and we can thank the darling media for not doing their jobs.
I’m not trying to be negative, but we are on a downward arc. There is no real pressure to change things in DC. Things will continue until they can’t be supported. By that I mean we already can’t tax the rich enough to fill the gap in expenditures. Debt will pile up and when this cheap money ends and interest rates rise, we’ll be swamped in debt. That will cause either cuts in programs or inflating our way out of it. We need to be pinning that scenario on dems and obama now.
GOP needs a coherent model to fight the DC centric money machine where there is no accountability for where money is spent. Look how Rahm sounded like Walker when he actually had to run a real budget in Chicago. We need to break the national one-solution for all mentality and get away from the label of ‘states-rights’ (code for racism) and get to local control. Press people to stop sending money to DC only to have to beg for it back. You need to express a model that gives people better alternatives between federal govt largess and fiscal austerity.
Very difficult to have a positive attitude in anyway. The one good thing about this election is that the House has such a Republican majority that Barry will not be able to get much done. If the House will maintain a set of balls for the next 4 years we may be able to mitigate some of the damage Barry is going to attempt.
^This. He will continue what he has done throughout, which is to make an end-run around the legislative process and expand the “Imperial Presidency.” He will use the best weapons he has to continue forcing a socialist agenda on the roughly 45% of the population that is unwilling to receive it:

New bureaucratic rules and regs that do not require legislative approval (EPA, IRS, ATF, etc.)
Court decisions from sympathetic federal and SCOTUS judges.
