Looks like a replay of last year with Black Friday orders filled in March.
To be honest I don’t care if they don’t ship until March, since nothing I ordered was desperately needed. As long as they honor the prices and inventory reflected on their site when I ordered I’ll wait patiently. Otherwise they can lick it.
I haven’t got it, yet.
I didn’t get the email, just an order confirmation. I ordered a plate carrier on Thurs night, maybe I’ll actually get it.
I got the email this morning. Will wait and see what they have to say. If the items I order come in, if it takes a few months, I’ll be ok with that. Shouldn’t be because the items showed them to be in stock. If it was an error with stock, but they honor the pricing on a back order basis, it’s all good.
I ordered Wednesday and didn’t get this new email either. I’ll be interested to see what happens in my case. If it’s canceled I’ll be a bit disapointed, but it’s not a big deal.
Received the same e-mail too about a potential delay. I ordered a parka which they are just a dealer of, so maybe there won’t be much of a delay… but I’m not holding my breath.
Yeah, I knew about the past issues with delivery time when I ordered and its not something I really “need” anyways. If it shows up great, if not, no big deal.
ordered mine Wednesday(when the sale just started) and havnt got the email. Holding out hope
At least you all got to order. I couldn’t get the website to let me place an order at all.
Well here’s the end result. Sorry, but I call bullshit.
Valued Customer,
We experienced an unfortunate system issue on the TAG website on November 22 and 23 that resulted in incorrect pricing being displayed for certain TAG products. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the pricing error on Tacticalassaultgearstore.com. As a result of the error and the incorrect pricing, we are unable to accept and process your order for the mispriced item/s. We know this is disappointing.
We want to assure you that this was an unusual technical issue due to a corrupted file. As soon as we discovered the error, we corrected our system and notified customers who placed orders for the mispriced items. [We have also established system control processes to prevent this type of error from happening again.]
As an apology for your experience, we would like to give you a 20% discount coupon towards your next TAG purchase. Please accept the attached coupon as a token of good will and apology. Please note the coupon code below and enter it upon check-out. The coupon is good through December 31st 2012.
By redeeming the attached coupon, you acknowledge full satisfaction and release of any claims against Tactical Assault Gear and its affiliates relating to this pricing error.
As a valued customer, your business is very important to us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.
Corrupted file? Really? Seems to me like a good way to boost traffic to your site and customer base.
Yep! Agreed - complete crap. Here is the response I just sent to that same email:
Sir,
Which order does this affect? I had two separate orders that day. I also have to let you know that I hesitantly ordered from TAG knowing that your company had major issues with the Thanksgiving sale last year (some orders not filled until March of this year!). What’s that old saying? Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. There seems to be a pattern of behavior here that tells me my money is better off spent on Eagle, London Bridge Trading, Diamondback, Blue Force Gear, etc.
If my orders are not honored, then I won’t be needing your 20% off coupon. I will cease all business with TAG and be sure to share my experience with everyone in my law enforcement and military circles.
Sincerely,
Ordered mine Wed night as well. I haven’t gotten any email either, however when I go onto TAG’s website, I don’t show any order in my account for that date.
My buddy that ordered Thurs morning has gotten the cancellation email.
Yeah, the explanation was pretty vague.
I sent them a polite email requesting further explanation and that as things stand currently, the concilatory 20% coupon was not enough that I would “acknowledge full satisfaction” for this error.
I will see what they have to say, but I suspect that they won’t have any further explanation and that I will have to send them sentiments similar to your second paragraph.
It just doesn’t add up. Pricing mistakes happen, I get that. Typically it’s one item grossly underpriced or a site-wide issue. But there seems to be no method to this madness. I’d like to know what “corrupt file” caused random items to receive various legitimate discounts. Building e-commerce sites is part of what I do for a living, and it just doesn’t work that way.
Either someone changed their mind, or it was a form of bait-and-switch. Funny thing is they don’t have a pricing error clause in their terms of service. Actually they don’t have a terms of service at all. Obviously it’s not worth the time to get involved over a few hundred bucks worth of stuff, but chances are they’d be screwed if anyone decided to take it to the next level.
20% off the now higher prices…wow! Thanks!
Got the same mail today order was placed on 11/22/12. Took them long enough to respond.
So I filed with the BBB and my states AG. Sent the invoice along with all the emails and screen shots. So F’em. Makes me feel better.

Good. Be sure to let them know you did that, as should everyone else. I’m still convinced it was not done in error, if they’re smart they’ll ship the stuff and chalk it up as a lesson learned. If not, they should have a serious shit storm headed their way.
Ya know, I’ve never really had an issue with TAG
Just recently replaced my Banshee on there Warranty with them after having it since March
Also had a TAG Intrepid Chest Rig that they replaced for me due to shooty manufacturing
But I also learned never to buy during there attempted sale events
Any other time, I’ll order from them
But good luck and I hope everything gets resolved
Oh they know, told them by email and on their FB page others have done it as well.
