Well after much debating between the Colt 6940 (which is not in stock) and the LMT CQB MRP, I bought the LMT today. Very nice piece. Have not shot it yet. Anything special with break in? Couple shots, bore brush routine? No optics yet.
Break-in is an urban legend. Go shoot it.
Not true in all cases but chrome lined bang away you cant change it.
Noveske and Lilja say the same for stainless barrels. Plus if the shooter doesn’t get all the solvent from the bbl before the next shot it can cause hydrostatic pitting.
Well, i guess I’m just nuts and I don’t think its fair to compare a hand lapped barrel to a chrome lined one. Have a few Lilja barrels, I did brake in on them cost to much not to. Fact is if you have a non chrome lined factory barrel that is not hand lapped. A barrel brake in will save you a lot of trouble when it comes time to clean your bore.
