I believe it air tomorrow night. It is shocking that a mind such as this actually rules America. Had she come to her conclusion by some reasonable means one might have some respect for here. This is incredibly sad. I even think Katy was having a difficult time believing in her self professed foresight and wisdom.
I can’t stomach either of those pigs… let alone the two of them together. Holy!
Amazing how they think exercising their rights means that some 3rd party has to pay for it or it’s a civil rights violation. Hobby Lobby wasn’t prohibiting anyone from taking any BC. No different than suing because my employer won’t buy me a firearm.
What’s even more shocking is that everyone knows who the President is, most even know who their congressman is…but ain’t nobody know those 9 fools who can do ANYTHING they want.
So does Hobby Lobby’s employee health insurance policy cover Viagra?
If it does or not is irrelevant. They should be able to cover what they want to or don’t want to. It’s up to the employees to work there to decide if another employer better suits what they are looking for as far as benefits. The government mandating this down to the exact pills they are supposed to provide is a gross overreach of their authority.
And a lot of them (both R’s & D’s)think the president should be able to replace all nine of them any time he wants. By this I mean a new president comes in, fires all the sitting judges and appoints nine of his buddies. I honestly can’t believe how many people that I’ve talked to that think this is a good idea…
I honestly don’t like that they are appointed by a president for life. More checks and balances are needed, but aside for being elected from each district and then being able to recall I don’t really see a better way.
Sorry, but that’s bullshit. An employer has no business meddling in the care provided by their health insurance providers. You’re walking right into the trap Ginsberg spoke about. Your boss is a Jehovah’s Witness? Sorry, no blood transfusion for your kid when he gets clipped on his bike. Maybe your boss is a Scientologist. Sorry, no antidepressants for your wife’s post-partum depression or meds for your kid when he gets diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Maybe your boss is a Christian Scientist and tells you to pray your coronary arteries open when you have a heart attack.
Where’s the line? Who makes the call? If an employer offers health insurance, it’s part of a benefits package. It’s part of your compensation. Your employer has no more business interfering with the care prescribed by your health care provider and paid for by a third-party insurer than they have telling you what you can spend your paycheck on.
Actually the government has no business meddling with a companies insurance coverage period. If you don’t like what is offered you can go elsewhere, at least you could before big brother stepped in.
Umm, no, no one is forcing you to work for that person. Don’t like the benefits? Leave! Go work somewhere else. Personally, I worked for a company owned by a Catholic family for 7 years, our health insurance didn’t cover ANY birth control. Guess what? The world didn’t end, we paid for birth control out of pocket and lived our lives, no big deal. I knew this before taking their offer of employment, if it was that important to me or my wife, I would not have accepted the job. There is no need for government interference in this issue!
I beg to politely differ.
I could not get insurance coverage if my life depended on it.
Until Obamacare, thank you very much!
Pre-existing conditions they call it, those greedy fu#@&*s!
Lets face it - the (health) insurance industry does not give one rats ass about giving anyone quality care - only the shareholders happiness for the next quarter.
Theyre are scum of the worst kind and I’m OK with someone-anyone- putting a leash on them.
And before anyone says anything about ‘socialism’ or whatever - what do we call medicaid/medicare, the VA medical system and the general healthcare one receives in the Armed Forces? None of which is ‘for profit’? (and no we’re not going into the issues they have had and are having).
My point is merely that healthcare(insurance) and capitalism make bad bedfellows IMHO. It’s not like something that gets regulated by market-forces good for both consumers and suppliers, as has been abundantly proven.
Prior to Henry J. Kaiser building liberty ships in PDX I WWII, employer health care didn’t exist, period. Since wages were capped, it was an incentive to go to work there and stay there. In my job I essentially had all the free ammo I could shoot…
Nobody owes Sandra Fluke or her “sisters” free abortifacients, birth control, ammo or free parking.
Those sexist c**ts . . . the War on Men rages on brothers.
I doubt Ginsburg ever had to worry about birth control. Someone would’ve had to screw that ugly bitch for it to be an issue.
ETA: Googled it and apparently someone actually did! :bad:
Was a paper bag involved?
Paper bag? I’m not sure a burlap sack would be thick enough! Wrap her in the flag and do it for Old Glory?
Actually, the employer is not meddling or interfering in your health care. You can do whatever you want on your own dime. It would have been a different story had they said that they won’t tolerate their employees using birth control or getting abortions. They told their employees what they were and what they were NOT going to spend the money they earned on BEFORE those employees accepted those terms. The employees chose to accept those terms and went to work. Benefits are like a tip. Companies offered them as a way to keep or attract employees.
The $$ for those pills and any other type of care doesn’t come from some third party insurer. Its not like Met life or whoever is using its own or Obama’s stash to pay those bills. The bills are paid from $$ collected from you and your employer in the form or premiums.
The only people in this mess who are meddling and interfering are the federal government. They are forcing employees to buy something they don’t want to and they are forcing employers to spend money on things they don’t want to. Why not force everyone to buy a GM or have to pay a fine?
When they’re paying for the insurance it’s up to them what to pay for. These are group policies between the employer and insurance company where employees get the coverage dictated under the contract.
They aren’t getting in the way of you and your doctor. You’re entirely free to pay for whatever services you want that aren’t covered under your policy.
Hobby Lobby covers some forms of birth control, the had a moral issue with some forms of it. Birth control is not healthcare.
