Kidnapping
Assault
Robbery
Hate Crime
Destruction of property
Violation of civil rights
All caught on tape…Granted, bouncers tend to be scum, and strip clubs are not known for up and up activity, but why the hell would film this and put it on the internet!
I didn’t see a time/date stamp anywhere on that video, how old is it and has anybody notified authorities about it?
This kind of thing confirms the idea that was shared with me of refusing to be moved back into a private area by private security types. Instead say that you are leaving peacefully or will wait in public for the Police to come in the event they won’t let you leave, but have whatever is gonna happen happen in front of witnesses. Just like with a robbery, kidnapping or sexual assault you should always fight it out right where it first goes down, don’t let yourself get transported to a secondary crime scene like this where nobody can witness it.
It also reinforces the idea that if you want to avoid dirtbags avoid where dirtbags hang out.
Happens a lot, around here (Vegas) had the guy called the police after leaving the restroom he would have found himself in jail for selling drugs not being vindicated of the charge.
That bouncer may have kicked my ass but you can guarantee he would be on the way to the hospital too! The second I realized the door was locked and he touched my phone… game on! Of course, I would not be selling drugs but there was no proof that guy was either.
Apparently the perps name is Easton Byfield and he was charged last year.
Easton Byfield, 35, of 30 Thayer Pond Drive, Oxford, charged with assault and battery and malicious destruction of property under $250, continued to March 11.
Video is down right now. Maybe the site pulled it due to controversy?
As a bouncer, you serve the property owner and their clientele. You’re not law enforcement. Job #1 is removing people from the premises, not detaining them. Take him to the street and tell him to buzz off, while simultaneously calling actual law enforcement. If the bad guy attempts to forcibly re-enter, well then you can go ahead and drop him

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester Police said they received tips Thursday that a nightclub bouncer assaulted and robbed a man in the club’s bathroom.
Police said a video of the incident was posted online by another bouncer who was filming the assault as it happened at the Platinum Premier Club located at 241 Southbridge St.
Officers said the video showed the bouncer punching the victim in the face about four times, and taking money from his wallet.
Detectives said the 25-year-old victim was a Worcester resident. Police said the victim told them that the attack happened on May 25. The victim said he didn’t report the incident because he was afraid the bouncers will come after him.
Police said they found that the bouncer, 35-year-old Easton Byfield, of Oxford, filed a report on May 25 stating that the victim assaulted him.
Detectives said they arrested Byfield last Friday and charged him with assault and battery, kidnapping, unarmed robbery and filing a false police report.
I’m amazed at how the dude just stood there and took that sht. From the guy going through his stuff to jacking him in the face a few times…I’ll be damned if I’m gonna just stand there and take that sht!
I remember a similar story from down here a while back. Few bouncers took some tourists in the back room of the club and really messed them up.
Sounds like the Worcester PD acted on the tips quickly. I suspect the club is going to be under intense scrutiny from various licensing authorities in addition to potential legal troubles and civil liability.
Pretty broad generalization, isn’t it? I mean considering I’ve worked the door, and still do, at some of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas for the last 7 years. I don’t think any of the forum members who know me personally would consider me scum either. Asshole, yes, scum, no.
I’ve already heard rumblings about how the victim will probably get a nice pay day out of this. Maybe it will and I don’t think it would be unreasonable. But is it really worth it?
