I reckon this would mean you have a more serious issue.
Yeah, sheared lugs.
Time to consider moving. (Granted, easier said than done, but still.)
Thats bad news. I wonder whats going to happen now?
If this is true (I didn’t check as I don’t live in California) there are going to be A LOT of pissed off AR owners.
Like someone else posted, move if you can. You won’t regret it.
It is SB 249, not AB 249. Today it got through public safety, but it WAS NOT signed into law.
It still has to get through appropriations, senate, assembly, and the governor before it is passed.
Just move over to AZ. We aren’t gun Nazi’s here ![]()
From around £1400 to almost £3000 I think not. ($2200 to $4700)
The 22 is £870 ($1365)
BTW, they want them to be transferred face to face, but for a nominal fee can export…
OP just take it easy. Some read the law as not banning things like BB’s, but things that turn your BB into a BB that functions like a standard mag release. After reading the law that’s where I think this is headed. If you want to turn your rifle into a single shot, just remove the BB from the lower receiver. It is now a single shot.
I meant more like “do what they’ve done,” not necessarily, “buy from them.”
So how many people have been killed with rifles that had bullet buttons installed? It must be a bunch for them to move legislation this fast and putting aside all of the “important” work that needs to be done. :sarcastic:
I would either sell the rifle (honestly what’s the point of a single shot ar15? You could get a nice accurate bolt action and be waaaay better off) or seriously consider moving. Really those are the only options.
Agreed, a huge reason why I moved from CA and never looked back.
NOTE: up front…this is a thank you for all you guys.
my wife and i often visit AZ…(mostly Yuma). we have traveled and hunted throughout the state extensively and we dearly would love to re-locate to there…however…right now it’s not practical.![]()
i was at a gun shop in Prescott recently and i overheard a salesperson tell a customer: “You may LEGALLY buy ANY gun made, in Arizona…to include silencers, full auto and 100 round magazines, if you wish.” ![]()
currently i have BA, tactical, EBR’s ranging from .22 lr up to the 7.62x51/.308.
since purchasing my AR(M4 with heavy barrel, wylde chamber and 1:9 twist rate, etc.) a while back…i’ve found my preference has swung toward the AR(M4) platform; i wish to keep it even if i have to do stupid things to it to pacify the state of Kaliphornia. i can live without semi-auto, if that’s what it takes.( i am no longer a combat soldier or someone who has a need for semi-auto. BUT…i do NOT advocate outlawing it!)
i believe the AR platform is the best development for ANY style shooting a person could want to do: the pistol grip, magazine location/operation and overall comfort…i was trained with M1 Garand and M1 Carbine while in the service…:big_boss:
incidently…i use the A2 sights and buttstock configuration
my 7.62x51/.308 weighs in at 14 lbs……not very practical to ‘tote’ around…unless i figure i’m going to be shooting 500yds+ and sitting in one place for a LONG time: most of the shooting i do now is less than 200 yards.
and, last but not least, i, like many, have lots of $$$$ tied up in it.
once again…thanks guys
Which one?
Mountain View as i recall…it’s on the outskirts of town…as i recall we took Gurley st almost out of town…it has a steep intersection on one side of it.
wow! talk about AR’s! anything a person could wish for.
There was a Canadian company that was making (or at least marketing) pump action ARs several years ago. I don’t know how that would work with the California law, but it seems that option is better than those straight pull actions.
Man, you got a taste of freedom and went back to Communfornia? I feel for you! You’re in my prayers! ![]()
