Construction Worker Stops School Shooting and takes out shooter with his truck!

Construction worker Carlos Partida is a Hero.

Partida watched a scumbag empty six shots from his .357 revolver into a group of elementary school kids on the playground. Partida said it looked like he was reloading and trying to leave. Partida jumped in his truck and rammed the shooter. Partida and two of his co-workers detained the shooter until the police arrived. Another witness said they dealt out some “street justice” before the police arrived.

Just like our servicemen a few days ago this guy is a freaking Hero. I want to buy him a beer and a steak dinner.

Good on him! This hasn’t been on television today around here.

A gunman dressed in black and carrying a Halloween jack-o’-lantern or can of gasoline…

Not related to the story, but this struck me as odd. “Yes sir, he was preparing to burn my house down…or maybe he was trick or treating.”

airlifted for “non-life threatening graze wounds?” guess that’s how they do it in “upper middle class” neighborhoods.

good on those construction workers. some of my favorite people.

Sometimes SOP for children is different.

I saw it on Fox news it was a short piece.

There was a little boy describing the shooting. He had blood sprayed.on the back of his shirt from another student. This is why I carry. I think running his ass over has a nice ring to it too.

Unfortunately the anti-gun hysteria in the posts that follow the article are what most people outside forums like this will read and agree with.

Well unfortunately that is the case. I really do think though that you can educate most of these people to change their minds if you are patient enough to have an extended conversation with them and not get worked up or defensive.

I would almost assume that when the word goes out that there is a school shooting, that assets like that start to move? Anyone know what kind of protocols are in place for this kind of thing?

Good thing that no one was seriously injured. And it’s also good to know that there are still good people out there who take it upon themselves to take care of scum. Luckily it didn’t end badly.

Good point. In a large metropolitan area the response to an active shooter, especially at an elementary school, will have an impressive and immediate response. You might even have units respond w/o waiting to be asked. I know my ass would be on fire getting to any incident I knew of in my area. Remember too this incident turned out well because someone had the balls to take action and ram the dirtbag with his truck.

The result has often been very different. Once the choppers where there im sure the were the quickest way to a level one trauma center.

The folks answering 911 calls, the cops, firefighters, EMTS and other first responders will likely have kids or family at the school. Just like the contractor all decent folks are going to want to help. Especially the type A personalities.

In Beslan there were civilians who responded with their own weapons and lit up the place.

As for the anti gun idiots/sheep there was a negitive post with in the first few on the editorial page.

Things may have been better if the dirtbag was taken out by someone else in lawful possession of a gun.

In L.A.? We might want to start a legal fund for him then.

Good on him!

I hope that dude got hit so hard that he has grill marks in his teeth.

Shoulda parked the truck on him to make sure he didn’t flee the scene.

I think they wanted to get their hands in him for some personal attention. This incident shows what is right in America. Strangers taking action to protect our kids.

This happened near San Diego. Strangely enough their is a lawsuit that is going through the motions about the discretionary issue of CCW’s.

People in CA will continue to be victims or criminals (when carrying illegally) until the law is changed.

That is frustrating, there should be a reasonable and affordable process. Let people protect themselves. There will always be more sheep than sheepdogs out there. We should let the sheepdogs have the tools they need.

Take a look at all of the CCW’s in California at the moment considering their stupid application of “may issue”. Then think about the population (over 35 million) and take a guess how many people would go and apply. I think the numbers would be astounding and it would help the state out with their budget issues.

I finally understand what “it takes a village” is all about.

Those numbers are huge. I think we have about 600,000 here in VT. I know in my little PD there are nine of us and only four if us carry off duty. It surprises me at times. Not carrying a weapon should be a choice and not limited by the government w/o good reason, felonies being a good reason.

Street justice scares criminals more than prison.
