i want to know if anyone has experience with the comptac 2 o’clock in comparison to other holsters like the raven concealment appendix rig, g-code incog, cane and derby pardus appendix, etc.
it seems like the simplest and smallest and slickest design, but id on’t know if it has bulks and weirdness that can’t be determined from pictures.
it’s good to know you prefer shaggy. i’ve seen the cane and derby pardus appendix compared to the shaggy before and they seem similar.
i’m most interested in the g26 experiences. mainly because the incog isn’t specifically a g26 length and can’t be shortened and hence sacrifices some comfort for its modularity.
actually i’m hoping that steve’s persec spear appendix will solve all my problems. i expect it will, but alas, it’s not out yet.
Had all of them kept the JM for training and the Vanguard 2 for carry. INCOG was huge.
It’s really amazing that RCS hit the AIWB on the head with such a simple holster that’s also value priced and available. Ordered 3 at one time after getting the VG2.
Let me clarify. I’ve owned ever single Kydex AIWB holster you’ve listed and have come to a conclusion that the Raven Concealment VG2 is the best for carry for me AIWB. Very low signature and fits all Gen3/4 Glocks. In fact the G19 disappears in a VG2 even when I wear a t-shirt, I’d rather carry the G19 than my G26 as I shoot it better, faster and more accurately.
With that said, you’re right about re-holstering. It is possible as the holster is easy to remove and clip on the gun and return back to your belt - but it is a PITA. I’ve kept the JM Custom for training only. For me re-holstering, especially if you are CCWing is a non-issue. If the gun is going to come out in that role, it’s going to stay out for me. That’s my personal training and yours may be different. I prefer a holster that meets a specific role and executes it well. VG2 meets the CCW role with flying colors.
