Comp M4, SRS, Comp M2/3/etc...has the time of the full-size RDS come to an end?

With the T1/H1 and now T2/H2, and everyone else making a “micro” RDS, and the “delta point type” optics out there…has the era of the 30mm RDS finally come to an end except as a novelty? Do some of you still prefer the Comp series and similar style optics? Why/Why not?

I don’t think so. many still prefer the 30mm, Ive had all the styles of Aimpoints, my favorite is the M4s, Ive got 4 micros solely for weight, 3 are on sbr’s. My eyes are going south so Ive started to accumulate a bunch of variable 1-4/1-6 scopes.
I’m debating on getting another micro for a lightweight 14.5, or get another NF 1-4 FC2, or FC3G (If anyone has one to sell let me know), or get a Vortex 1-6, and move the MK6 to the 14.5

the larger ones are easier for me to use. That being said, I have my first true 1x variable. I won’t be buying red dots for a long time just because of the usability on rifles. My next scope is probably going to be a 2-7x on a 18" rifle however.

30mm RDS still have their place. Not everyone is a fan of the micro dots.

Have several M4S’s and T-2’s.

The M4S is a damn fine sight. I find myself using it more than T-2’s.

If the diff. in weight is that big of a deal, then do some curls.
