Comp M3

I’m in the market for a new Aimpoint Comp M3. I’ve done some searching online, but wanted to touch base with the experts to help verify what I’ve found.
What is a good price for a new Aimpoint CompM3?
What is a good price for said optic with mount?
Which mount would you suggest?

I’m planning on using the optic on a 10.5 in SBR, with the potential to use it on other length rifles. So, is there another optic I should consider?

Thanks.

A T1 combo would be great for you as well.

Thanks for the link.

If you decide on the M3 will you specify 2, or 4 MOA? I’m considering the M3 also for ranges up to 25 yards.

Do you really need an M3 or can you do without some of the features of a a full fat M3? If you don’t need NV, the ML3 may suit you. Also, if you don’t plan on NV or diving with your AR, the C3 can be had for ~450 with an ADM mount. That’s a pretty good value right there if you are pinching pennies and still want an optic that is tougher than a two dollar steak.

FWIW, I have a 2 MOA ML3 with ADM mount and aside from me not mounting the optic well enough initially, I couldn’t be more pleased with the combo.

agreed. the ML3 is a good optic. i have a 2MOA ML3 in a LT cantilever mount and its a good set up.

on a 10.5" AR i would go for a Micro tho

I agree with the micro, I also have an H-1 I use with socom height ADM mount. I put it on my 14.5" non NFA rifle and like it very much. They are very light compared to my ML3 setup.

This is a good price.

Again, thanks for the input. I have been wanting a CompM3. A friend of mine does have some night vision stuff, and I’m considering getting something, so I do want something that is compatible. Also, I may move the sight to different guns from time to time. I realize there may be better optics for dedicated use on a SBR. Right now, I’m saving my pennies for some night vision stuff, so don’t want to spend a whole lot on a bunch of different optics when this one seems like a good all around choice.
