A few months ago, I made a post about how the 870 Youth in 20-gauge looked really promising as a HD shotgun. Well, I got the gun, added a magazine extension and XS front bead and it was really slick. I liked it a lot but the wife decided she liked it more.
I’m ordering a Benelli M2 Tactical to replace it and am interested in the Comfort Tech stock, if only because it can be shortened to a 13.5" LOP with a recoil pad replacement.
Apart from the adjustable LOP, does the Comfort Tech really make the gun more comfortable to shoot? I haven’t handled a Benelli in 10 years but I remember the M1s to kick a little harsher than the 870P I owned back then. Easy enough to manage but you could tell, it behaved differently.
Will adding a Sure Fire forend affect reliability? I know it isn’t an issue on a pump or a Remington 1100/1187 but I heard the Benelli doesn’t always tolerate added weight.
