Combathunting.com....Too good to be true?

Hey guys, Im still fairly new to the black rifle world. I’ve just been trying to do all the research and shopping online that I can to increase the knowledge bank.

I stumbled across this website. They have some ridiculously low prices on things like rails and red dots, rifle tools, and cleaning supplies. Take a look and see for yourself. What is your opinion on most of this stuff? Garbage? Or does some of it seem legit? All of the red dots and rails seem to come with a lifetime warranty, which makes me wonder…if it breaks…ill just send it back.

Any thoughts?

You get what you pay for.

Is a “lifetime” warranty

– your lifetime?

– lifetime of the product?

– lifetime of the distributor?

Well, here’s how I look at it…

Here’s their red dot sight:

http://www.combathunting.com/REDS_DOT_SIGHTS_SCOPES-Tactical_Red_Dot_Sight_1.html

and just one of the specs: • Battery life (hours) 40

Now here’s an Aimpoint CompM3:

http://www.aimpoint.com/products/aimpoint_product_lines/aimpoint_compm3

and it’s battery life spec: 50,000 hours at setting 7 out of 10

The aimpoint I can leave on for what? 5 years? The other, just over a day and a half.

I don’t shoot at people for a living, but my M4 is what I would use to defend my family if needed - and I don’t want to go to use a red dot and have it not work.

It seems to be to be an airsoft/chinese knock-off website. I’m sure their stuff is find for range toys…

I think: “buy once, cry once”.

Save until you* can get quality gear from a reputable vendor. I’m really jonesing to put an optic on my AR, but what I want isn’t in my budget right now - so I’m saving until I can order my Aimpoint and mount from LaRue. I know that despite having wait, once I have it in hand - I know I’ll have a piece of gear that I can rely on if I ever need to. I also know that I’ll not regret having waited.

*not you personally necessarily, but “you” as in anyone. :stuck_out_tongue:

No Chinese crap on my guns. Buying quality once is better than buying cheap three or four times.

You said it brother. This has Chicom written all over it.

Unless it is a Chinese AK or SKS, or you are in to airsoft, I’d stay away.

“Combat Hunting”?

Could be wrong, but they look like a Chinese reactionary knock-off supplier catering to the panic buying going on here. At best.

Bought Chinese once - learned my lessons the EXPENSIVE way. :frowning: Joined M4carbine.net - still learning GOOD lessons for FREE!

I hope this doesn’t come across as too abrasive but I wouldn’t put it on my gun if it was free. I’m just not putting anything like that on my otherwise quality carbines. My others have NightForce, Aimpoint, or Acog.

I would skip on all that save for the real deal and be happy.

I wouldn’t even put that stuff on an airsoft gun. If they start making picatinny super soakers, maybe, just maybe.

I bought a couple of AK brakes and adapters from Combat Hunting.

  • shipping was way overpriced
  • they sent me the wrong stuff and then tried to say that it was the right stuff after I sent them photos.

I would buy from Botach in a New York Minute before I bought from these guys again.

I agree. Looks like airsoft toys.
