Is the 6721 similiar to the 6920, or is it more like a 6520, barrel twist rate aside?

Thanks.

It is closer to the 6921 line IMHO.

Can you get just the “standard” Colt LE lowers??? The ones with the standard trigger pins and push pins?

Will check.

C4

SHIVAN, maybe we could split an order, I want an A2 Colt upper and you want a LE Lower, so Grant…do you have anything that might accomodate both of us(provided SHIVAN is in)?

I have no problem with that at all.

C4

The problem is that the upper is more costly than the lower. How do we determine value for a carbine when the split would not be equal?

FWIW All current production semi auto Colt LE guns have captive, .250" pivot and takedown pins with .170 fire control pins. Colt has been using the .250" pivot and takedown pins for quite some time now.

Right, which is why I want an LE lower. Smaller chance I get some oddball pin sizes, from old stock, but new, lowers.

You will need to work that out with the person you are going to split the weapon up with.

More Colt’s in stock!

I just got a 6920 for 1381 OTD (Damn tax) but I would have bought one from you…

So, BTT

PS I will be passing this on to a friend, though.

Does Colt offer the Colt 6520 in an A3 configuration?

Nope. If you wan’t we can remove the A2 upper and replace it with a flattop one.

C4

You are aware, of course, that the 6520 does not have an “F” marked front sight base and there is the potential issue of the front sight post being too short for use with the carry handle and other BUIS. Doing so may also void Colt’s warranty on the carbine.

Grant can you get Colt uppers like the LE6921 upper or the RO977 or RO933 uppers?

I sure wish they did, it would have saved me a whole lot of time, money, and effort. I put a flattop upper on mine, shaved down the FSB, installed a DD 9.0 and used a Troty flipup front sight (alright, ADCO did it all, but you get the idea :stuck_out_tongue: ). That way I didn’t have to worry about the non-F FSB, I got to keep the stock taper pins, and got a little extra heat protection from the barrel.

I’d love to see Colt do a flattop 6520, midlength gas, and a “F” FSB.

No, Paul I wasn’t aware of this because this is my first time around an AR. I do this for a living so please stay in your lane and do not lecture my like I am some FNG on TOS.

No uppers at the current time. I am however going after my Colt LE account (there are ZERO Colt LE Distr. in my entire state so I might have a good chance at getting an account).
