SHIVAN, maybe we could split an order, I want an A2 Colt upper and you want a LE Lower, so Grant…do you have anything that might accomodate both of us(provided SHIVAN is in)?
FWIW All current production semi auto Colt LE guns have captive, .250" pivot and takedown pins with .170 fire control pins. Colt has been using the .250" pivot and takedown pins for quite some time now.
You are aware, of course, that the 6520 does not have an “F” marked front sight base and there is the potential issue of the front sight post being too short for use with the carry handle and other BUIS. Doing so may also void Colt’s warranty on the carbine.
I sure wish they did, it would have saved me a whole lot of time, money, and effort. I put a flattop upper on mine, shaved down the FSB, installed a DD 9.0 and used a Troty flipup front sight (alright, ADCO did it all, but you get the idea ). That way I didn’t have to worry about the non-F FSB, I got to keep the stock taper pins, and got a little extra heat protection from the barrel.
I’d love to see Colt do a flattop 6520, midlength gas, and a “F” FSB.
No, Paul I wasn’t aware of this because this is my first time around an AR. I do this for a living so please stay in your lane and do not lecture my like I am some FNG on TOS.
No uppers at the current time. I am however going after my Colt LE account (there are ZERO Colt LE Distr. in my entire state so I might have a good chance at getting an account).
