Whats the diff, other than price? The colt has an 11.5" and the LMT 10.5. Other than that they are both highly respected guns… So which would you get and why?

Colt might keep it’s value a little bit better, if you don’t plan on shooting it (safe queen). Of course that could easily evaporate if the “Big O” declares all black rifles contraband. :eek:
If you plan on actually using them, I think you could probably beat the daylights out of either one of them and they’d still be more than willing to perform as needed.
So I guess it comes down to cash outlay and what logo you want on the side of the lower.
Good luck choosing which one. You are in an envious position.
Of course you could just bite the bullet, so to speak, and buy both.
They are both tier 1 manufacturers with proven track records. The real difference would be price point of the Colt. I trust both. With the LMT you would not have to worry so much about LPK replacement issues due to Colts larger pin size, or just stock up on those particular Colt parts effected.
I am sure you could buy the LMT for about $1300. It is a steal compaired to what a Colt will run you. I bet $2000. or more. LMT= T-1 and mount and tax stamp for almost the same price.
A Colt 6933 will run you $1495 from Clyde armory which is where I got mine. But the LMT is a great choice also, dealers choice…
With todays market…
Anyone today buying a Colt there would be a high percentage that weapon, NFA or over 16",
would become a Safe Queen.
So I’m all in favor of getting an LMT and shooting the piss out of it.
They are both great choices. I run the 6933’s becuase I need a 11.5 barrel for my suppressor, a surefire FA556AR.
I have an LMT 10.5 and it is flawless through around 500 rounds. I have ran Wolf, UMC, and good stuff and all have functioned fine. I believe Grant had some factory LMT complete 10.5s for a great price earlier. If not the price difference in my opinion is a no brainer.
10.5 us just too short for my tastes.
Colt just for that reason.
Same but for an Ops can.
If you plan to suppress, I’d factor that in.
Just got a 10.5" MRP. You know where my vote lies. 
I have the colt and am quite pleased with it. I also have the MRP and have been contemplating getting the SBR barrel
