Anyone know when Colt discountued making this model? I bought one last year and was not sure if it was new. Maybe if I call Colt they could let me know.
The MT6400 is current and was never discontinued;they just don’t make a lot of them and production is cyclical after M4 and LEO runs.I got my info from the pony’s mouth so to speak.

Do call Colt and ask for a date;they might just give you a year build.Ask if they have a shipping date.Be polite but explain that you are curious about exactly when your 6400 was built.I have had good luck talking to Colt by being nice and asking very specific questions.Is your 6400 barrel straight from the M203 cut-out or does it have another very slight downturn just before the comp?Mine is straight but my 6920 turns down just a touch before the flash hider.

Yes I’ll call Colt. I’m not sure about the barrel. I’ve been up north in MA for a few months so when I get home to SC I’ll take a closer look. Can’t wait.
Now that we’ve established they are still in production. . .
My 6400C’s barrel (which was bought right before the ban sunset) is also straight from the M203 cut-out and does not have that additional step-down before the brake. I was noticing that difference myself when comparing to a 6920 just last week and wondering if there is any significance in that.
