Is the Colt 6946 worth the price compaired to Noveske built the same ? Which would you get ?
What’s it’s intended purpose? You can’t go wrong with either.
Personally, between the two, I’d probably go with a Noveske and get one with a switchblock. Monolithic uppers are great if you’re using it as a precision weapon, if not, it’s novelty at best.
got a sbr 300 blackout and looking at a 223 sbr upper and later
22lr . Not job related but I like nice stuff. Intend to use my 308 can on it also.
For the price of a 6946 upper and for what you’re using it for, you’re better off getting a Noveske, DD or BCM upper, or a Colt 6921 (14.5")or 6933 (10.5") upper. Depending on what can you have will dictate barrel profile and length.
Like I said, unless you’re using the 6946 upper for a short precision build, you’re better off finding something cheaper and spending your money on training and more ammo.
To the OP no intention to hijack your thread just want to know more opininons regarding other rifle manufactures.
How about adding LaRue to the mix along with Spikes Tactical? you guys dont think they are to par with DD, Colt or BCM if so WHY?
This has been covered many times before…
That little orange button titled “search” does work…
Spikes are a bunch of con-artists that make suspect claims, and then don’t back it up with facts…
Larue is a good quality rifle, but tends to be more of a specialty rifle…
This is like saying " with all due respect"
go search man.
Thanks, will do.
No problem.
With all respect, the “Search” option on this forum and others isn’t worth a damn.
And quite frankly, if we all Googled each of our questions, there wouldn’t be any reason for discussion at a gun forum, would there?
Why don’t you take a deep breath and give some new members some info. And heck, if it irritates you so much, just ignore the thread?
Instead of furthering the threadjack, why not contribute to the purpose of the OP?
As to your various points, I’m not going to even touch on them, as they are so far off base that they aren’t worth wasting bandwith on.
Dont bother worrying about these web cops ,i look around on here just for that reason, its the same on a hot rod web site im on often, thats what these forums are for,?'s for people that need an answer or just want to learn, not some smart ass telling you to reasearch a little because its really screws up his web surfing time.
OP
Both are reputable manufacturers. I like Colt so I’m kinda biased. I’ve got a friend who swears by his Noveske.
If you in fact like the nice things, get both. If you can only afford one right now, go with the Colt. I’ve always had great luck with Colt. Customer service is top notch and you get quality. Now, I’m not saying you don’t get that with Noveske, I just have never owned one of their products.
As for some of the thread derailing; there’s a reason why there is a search function here. There’s also a reason why derailing threads ends them up being locked and NO questions being answered. If you don’t like the topic, don’t post. Don’t ask the questions in someone else’s thread that’s not even part of the original OP, do the research or start your own thread.
RE: being told to conduct a search.
It’s simple.
You will be told to search when a question that has been previously discussed comes up, even if such a discussion/thread is peripherally related, and in complete disregard as to how firmly you believe that you are the FIRST person to ever, ever come up with the question at hand. Take your hubris and go pound sand.
Period, end of story.
If you don’t want to conduct searches, in the interests of not wasting bandwidth by dredging up something that may very likely have already been answered (three or more times over…), or do not like seeing folks being told to conduct searches (which is a recognized and encouraged MO on this forum) because you’re unable or unwilling (more likely…) to learn how to correctly use those functions…
…there’s lots of other gun forums. Go to them, with out blessings.
Now, I think that there was something COLTish being hashed over before the spoon-feed-me-please manginas sunk their teeth in…?
I vote Colt…I have a 6940 I have been shooting a lot lately, love it.
I use BOTH search options everday on the forum with no issues. Just in case people do not know, the top orange “search” button is a google powered search engine for this forum.
