If you are 100 feet or under there isnt a carbine/ SBR that can beat it for accuracy and recoil, regardless of what people think. I have owned over 10 high quality carbines since 1995 and this is near the top. Most people wont spend the $3000+ to own an SBR 45 ACP. I am in the process of SBRing mine as we speak. As it sits its near the $3400 mark and when I SBR it that will run just a little more but well worth it. I may even go full auto. Right now I am working on another gun so this project is done for now.
Recoil isnt bad. Its still there but not that bad IMO.
I also have owned several modern carbines including factory HK94, Uzi Model B, HK USC, B&T TMP. Each is great but the KRISS has me totally intrigued. I need to get my hands on one before I buy one.
Keep in mind if you rent one you probably will be disappointed as the 2008 or early 09 models had ejector issues that have been fixed in late 2009/2010 models. Most people were very disappointed with this gun but those issues have been fixed, including the hollow point issues.
KRISS does to me for rifles what the P7 does for pistols, I feel like I want one just for its ingenuity (might fall in love like the P7 if it is as nice to shoot too )
But being a pistol cartridge I will most likely wait for the shotgun version or if there ever is a 5.56 version (please)
