Colt LE6900 M4 Light Carbine

Hey guys cannot seem to find anymore talk about the Colt LE6900, is this rifle really that bad
because mine sure does shoot very accurately and I have not had a single problem in the last year or so
with it and I have been putting it to the test, and has flawlessly cycled many rounds threw it…The last I heard
it was made by numerous different companies bla bla, but after talking with Colt because I needed to order
what seems like some proprietary 3 inch rails, they had told me it is a Colt Gun (for whatever that means)
and I did find it offered in the 2013 Colt catalog, but not listed in current. I would be glad to share if interested
Anyways plan on keeping mine its a straight shooter…would love to hear other input negative or positive.

Thanks

Having a brand the people trust (bcm, DD, KAC, Noveske) definitely should give the buyer a warm fuzzy because the are KNOWN for quality and reliability. Their reputation for quality really comes from a history of reliability…

If your rifle proves reliable to you, why care what someone else’s opinion is? To me nothing holds more weight when it comes to sentimental value than a history of reliability. I’m normally not a “just as good as” guy but that’s really the best answer for the “i know I bought wrong, but tell me anyways” questions that have popped up in the last few weeks.

The Colt 6900 is not made by Colt, it is partially outsourced. It’s a piece of shit that Colt thought would appeal to people. It uses a YHM style tubular rail, it has a clamp on style gas block that is also has a small roll pin securing it to the barrel. It also has no forward assist mechanism. The ones I have seen also had unstaked castle nut and endplates. It has also been discontinued so I would dump it or get a better upper.

PSA’s blowing them out at $700.

Thanks for the Input appreciate it…

Thanks for your input, but for being a piece of #@%& its a straight shooting, flawlessly cycling kind of KILLING weapon. Peace

So it appears that this comment reveals your true intent for starting this thread and validates turnburglar’s intuition as well…that you know you bought wrong, but you’re searching for some sort of validation after the fact. You’re 3 posts in and you’re already getting defensive? Didn’t you ask for feedback (i.e., “would love to hear other input negative or positive”)?

Awesome enjoy it.
