Colt HBAR Elite barrel help

I just ordered this barrel to fit onto my Bushmaster upper.

Will I have to change the barrel extension to make it work with my BM upper? Which length of gas tube will I need? rifle length? thanks for any info.

no the barrel extension cant be replaced easily and you dont even need to replace it…it’ll work just fine

Thanks, a friend of mine who is an AR nut said I need to verify that it has an ‘M4 barrel extension’ on it. Is there a difference in barrel extensions from an M4 as compared to an AR-15?

I quite sure your friend was talking about mating the right barrel extension with the right upper receiver…take a look at the pic below

Alright, I’m reading that if I use my PMAGs I shouldn’t have any feed errors? Does anyone else have one of these Colt HBAR Elite barrels fit onto an M4?
