What variants has Colt made in their Govt model rifles. Is there a source I can go to and see pictures of these rifles. I recently came across a Colt govt model and want to restore it the best I can to its factory configuration.
Here is another Colt but small front pin w\detent no block, had to be an m4gery project . This lower came with the Colt match trigger from Colt acurized rifle version with the 24" SS barrel www.colt.com/law/CAR.asp. Notice the shiney pins & the trigger. the complete trigger is polished to a mirror finnish. It has a smooth crisp break with no travel at all.
Here is a Colt #6550 Gov’t RIFLE. It is my one and only “collector” and safe queen. Mint condition.
This model closely resembles the USMC A2. It has a 20" 1/7 barrel with “gov’t” profile under the handguards. No sear block. Full circle carrier. LARGE front pivot holes, unlike the M16A2’s. All the usual “evil” items…
I found a matching upper for it and my buddy in Fl. supplied me with a BC so its complete. I want to thank Rmplstlskn for the pic. I was reading and is this a white label or green.
