Prospecting around for a Colt 6520 or perhaps something similar; an A1 type upper if they exist, or a removable handle model. LW barrel preferred.
Looking to upgrade the dreaded Tier II carbine, although it continues to run fine.

Ken Elmore from Specialize Armament makes a flat top with a rail and a 6520 barrel.
At 1900 dollars with a Larue rail and sights, they are not cheap.
Used and new 6520s are available. +$100-ish for a replacement upper receiver assembly gets you what you want, and the old upper assembly will sell to offset the new.
