Colt 6520 Questions

I just purchased a 6520. I have a couple questions. First when looking inside the lower, the part of the trigger that holds the disconnector spring looks like one side has been cut off. Is this a Colt thing? The other AR’s I have dealt with don’t look like this. Also I am wanting to rebuild my spare parts. Will any LPK work with the Colt lower? Finally, anyone know where I can find the original Colt CAR handguards. This 6520 came with M4 double heatshield handguards. I did shoot the rifle yesterday with a mix of PMC, Rem, Fiocchi, Winchester, and Wolf. It shot flawlessly and got pretty good groups.

You’ll need the .170 fire control parts. Otherwise, others will fit. Recommend you use only those others of same quality.

Finally, anyone know where I can find the original Colt CAR handguards. This 6520 came with M4 double heatshield handguards.

Watch the want ads in various forums, or post a WTT. Many want the latter rather than the former.
