Colt .155 LPK. Same as mil spec .154?

Maybe it was the wording of the question but i didn’t the info i wanted from another site i posted on. Basically, I want to build a “Colt” lower using a non colt stripped receiver. I see SAW has a 0.155 lower parts kit (in addition to the .170 kit) available. Is this LPK the same as the standard (0.154) stag/rra/etc. LPKs as far as sizes are concerned? My concern are that the colt 0.155 pins are oversized for worn receivers like the KNS .155 pins. If the Colt pins are in fact slightly larger than mil spec, can i use the KNS .154 anti rotational pins to replace the colt pins in the kit , or are there other parts that are different in the LPK as well. BTW, i spoke to SAW directly and all they would tell me was that they would never recommend using a Colt LPK in anything other than a Colt. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to edit the title for typo?

No the colt pin size are not standard. If you are using a lower that is not a colt then you will need to use the smaller pin size.

The .155 pins on SAWs website are not oversized. They are standard small pin size. They are the same as .154 size. Someone is being fast and loose with the terminology.

Colt does not make oversized pins for worn out receivers.

The last time I checked Colt .155 pins and MILSPEC pins were the same. As far as I know Bushmaster, Armalite, Noveske, and I am sure several others use .155 in. diameter pins. So you shouldn’t have any issues.

To put things in perspective for all intents and purposes the .154" and .155" are the same. For those not understanding decimals that’s a 1 thousandth of an inch difference.

On average most human hair varies from about .002"-.006" (2 to 6 thousandths of an inch).
