So this weekend I finally got my EOTech 552 out of storage and mounted it on my Spikes Frankenstein AR. I had already zeroed my MBUS (front and rear) before I put the EOTech on.
I did a hasty laser boresight zero for the EOTech on Sunday night so I would be close when did a range zero, but I did not pop up the MBUS to see how it aligned.
My problem comes after I zeroed the EOTech at the range on Monday. After I got a good zero, I popped up the Magpul MBUS sights and saw the MBUS sight picture sat very low thru the EOTech glass, almost to the point that it is unusable without taking off the Larue EOTech quick disconnect.
Here is my question- has anyone else had problems with this? I had only used the EOTech on Larue mount on service carbines that had a standard, mil A2 front sight before this. The Larue mount only raises the height of the EOTech off the rail by less than a 1/4".
Any suggestions?
