just picked up a 9mm M4-style carbine by CMMG at the dulles gun show not too long ago. never owned one, but i’ve been curious about the AR 9mm for a while. never really liked the aesthetics b/c i always thought that it looked so weird with that skinny stick mag in the big mag well [yeah, i know… so shallow].

all i have to say is: why did i wait so long to get one of these stupid things?:smiley: stuck an aimpoint on it, zeroed it, then proceeded to run 400 flawless rounds through it. i have been more than pleased. it’s accurate, easy to shoot and having the familiar handling of your standard AR platform is a serious plus. good stuff.

i’ve got a RRA pistol coming [sometime in the next few months :rolleyes: ], and i plan to SBR it on a form 1. big fun, little bullets. :wink:

The wife has a factory Colt preban 6430 (?) that does just fine with heavy ammo. Was thinking of going the sbr route with it but think I’ll just build an upper for the sbr we already have instead.

yeah, no kidding. the can comes this summer. har, har, har. now my subgun has company.

I’m still waiting on a 9mm SBR and the YHM can to put on it, but I have a Colt 9mm 16" (forget the model number) that I stuck a tritium front post in and an A1 grip on. It’s a fun little gun.

Really looking forward to the shorty/can combo though.

what block/buffer/hammer/mags are you running?

I had a Colt 6450 that was fun to play with, but it wouldn’t feed truncated cone ammo.

And the 16" barrel just didn’t look right to me. So I sold it.
I guess I’m shallow too. :stuck_out_tongue:

So I got a Rock River Arms 9mm ‘pistol’ with 7" barrel, put a CTR stock, Troy FF rail, and Eotech 551 on it, and what a great range toy!

The MP-5 will have to stay with the job when I go to a different unit, so this is a close second for fun.

To anyone not sure about getting a 9mm AR, I say DO IT!!! :smiley:

just got my RRA 9mm pistol with the 7.5" barrel. i have already butchered it and the lower is off to orion for engraving.

form 1 is ready and waiting… and another tax stamp will be headed my way. man, i have a problem.:smiley:

With the eotech, off-hand at 25m, it makes a nice ragged hole.

I got my CMMG 9mm upper the other day and it looks good and works perfectly. Certainly worth the 5 weeks wait.
