CMC trigger pins

Installed the CMC trigger and curious about the side to side movement I have in the pins. CMC told me not to file the pins down so that they’re flush with my lower. But if I were to not file down my pins, would the side to side movement cause any damage to my lower in the future?

When I had mine you had the option of using CMC’s trigger ions with that c- looking clip on each side to keep them from sliding out or using KNS anti-rotation pins. I chose the latter. I’m not sure what your talking about filing. I would just get some KNS pins for it. That’s about the only good use for those pins that I’ve come up with.

I was told by the tech @ CMC that I could file the pins down so that it would be less side to side movement. I was told they designed the pins that length because not all lowers are the same spec. I asked if I was able to use my original trigger pins with the CMC trigger group but was told no because the trigger group was not designed for the original pins and that he gave me “permission” to file down the pins but to not file them down to get a flush fit to the lower because the pins need to have that side to side movement. Also, I do not have the c-clip model pins. The tech said they did away with that and use screws now. I am just concerned about the long run with the trigger pin holes. With having that side to side movement, would the pin holes begin to get out of spec?

Do the pins have button head screws that htread into the end to keep them from walking out?

Goodness, learn to use google. There is a bazillion threads on this on a bazillion different forums. Lazyness tisk tisk.

If you honestly must know, it will be fine. CMC also makes anti walk pins now. JP pins also fix the issue. Can also use kns anti walk crap also.

Laziness?..how about lack of internet availibility where I’m at. I’m at a training academy that is in the mountains and the service on my phone is lacking. Move along, buddy. Guess your mother didn’t teach you manners.
