Just curious as to what you guys do to clean your aimpoint lenses ?
I use water and sometimes alcohol with a tips but there are always smears on the lenses. Any tips ?

I simply use a microfiber cloth meant for cleaning eyeglasses. If it gets really grungy I rinse with water first.

Sounds good. Thanks for the advice.
Water first (distilled if possible) is a good idea if it’s really bad. This way you’re not just rubbing grit into the glass. After the water use some compressed air to blast it dry then finish up gently with a microfiber cloth. Never rub lenses in a circular motion (this can create a halo effect). Always dab or pat the lens with the lens cloth and only use straight, linear movements if you have to for smudges etc. Even if you do manage to create a linear scratch, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll notice it. Circular scratches, even minor ones, are highly noticeable.
I care for all lenses in this way when possible, from red dot sights to top tier long range optics. Of course, sometimes all you’ve got is your glove, but if possible, do what I outlined above.
