I have a barrel with roughly 3000 rounds down it and the thing wont stabilize anymore…
At 100m, bullets will arrive on target sideway.
It’s a barrel produced by a good company (but I will keep its name so far) but the throat erosion gauge will go to the no-go and the muzzle is badly worn too. Can it be a bad chrome-lining or a bad steel lot ?
Bullet weight?
Barrel twist rate?
Frequent mag dumps?
Cleaning method & frequency?
Ammunition used?

Pretty sure tge chrome will wear a good bit in the throat before you’d see any accuracy issues.
If the rifling at the muzzle is damaged after 3000 rounds then it is worn from improper cleaning not shooting.
Agreed, nothing to do with the steel or chrome, and all due to cleaning method (or OVER-cleaning). A shot out barrel has most of it’s erosion in the throat region instead of the muzzle.
Bad maintenance can ruin even the best barrel no matter who makes it…
This… What ammo EXACTLY? How many different loads/bullets have been tried??
What does the “muzzle is badly worn” mean exactly? Can you post a pic?
I’ll die if it turns out to be nothing but full auto with frangible ammo.
