HELL NO. Your S@W is a pos. It doesn’t have a chrome lined barrel, so that’s it, that’s all, and FU you’re done.
Also Sabre Defense is done cause it doesn’t’ have the same barrel steel as Colt. It’s better, but it’s not the same.

LOL!
I just bought my rifle with CHROME LINED barrel from Accurate Armory.
Yes. The 6721 is chrome lined.
Thanks, I think I’m fixin’ to get banned for that. But, WTF.
Not for that, but for the trend you’re establishing.
Being a smartass, is fine, but being a smartass and wrong at the same time isn’t generally worthwhile to anybody.
EDIT: Yeah, you’ve had a busy evening. https://www.m4carbine.net/search.php?searchid=2850282
I need to learn to read. Thanks for the info.
OMG. Look I’m not trying to cause a bunch of stuff. Ya think we could, Idon’tknow, lock this thread and try it again later. Whatever, If the op wants to do another chart, it’s fine with me. If not, that’s ok also. Please leave up the explanations on, you know, the MPI, BCG, HP testing, all that stuff. If it’s not too much trouble.
As far as I can tell the Mil doesn’t us it because it isn’t part of the TDP. A beuracracy controls the TDP and what changes can be made to it. Beuracracies are slow to adapt and adopt new technologies.
It may or may not cost more to melonite parts. Glock has been using a version of that process for decades, along with HK and S&W with their M&P pistols.
Chrome lining requires that the parts to be lined, be manufactured with the extra thickness of the chrome lining accounted for. Melonite/tennifer/nitrocarbuerization does not change the parts dimensionally so all finishing work can be performed prior to treatment. Since there are no dimensional changes one could concievably make a match grade barrel using the melonite process with the wear resistance of Chrome lining. While not having the drawbacks of subtle dimensional variations of the bore introduced by the chrome lining process Overall cost of the procedure ultimately relies on economies of scale and how large of a batch you can run.
As for Sabrefan I assume that was sarcasm although my meter may be in need of calibration.![]()
As far as that “S@W pos” I don’t have that model to tell if it could actually be a reliable AR15 at a much more competitive pricepoint. Either way it isn’t a milspec rifle and isn’t intended to be one. Time in the marketplace will ultimately determine if it is a good rifle.
The basic gist of this post is that there may be better alternatives to Chrome lining if those process are performed intelligently and properly.
I’m really, really, really, not trying to establish a trend. Really, I’m not very trendy. The OP has established a trend and here it comes. As far as how much I’ve been on this blog lately, then, that’s my business. I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. I would think that the more feedback ya’ll get then the better. But, I could be wrong.
Let me guess, malnutrition as a child, or mercury in the water?
Both. Mercury isn’t bad for you in small doses. And, beer doesn’t cause malnutrition. It’s got vitamins and minerals and grain and everything.
So, Can’t we all just get along??? I(Me, to alabama state troopers 1985. It didn’t work)

You’ve done the Lord’s work this day.
What we have here is failure to communicate…

Well played sir!
