This race has been pretty batshit crazy the last few days, and Ive been following her fund raising website.
It lists “goals” in 250k increments. What Ive been seeing is that the percentage never goes below at least 90% to the next “goal”. I was watching it earlier today, and she reached a million according to the site. Then it went up to 105% of 1 million. I refreshed the page, and it went to 91% of 1.25 million. How can you go from 105% of 1 million to 91% of 1.25 million in a matter of less than 30 minutes? Ive been watching the site since yesterday, and its been like this the whole time. Never less than 90% of the next goal. Many hours ago it went from that 105% to 91%, and in those many hours its only at 93% still.
Im not saying she isn’t raising the money but is it a psychological trick to get people to think, “Oh she’s only a few percent away from the next goal Ill donate a little more”? It gives people a “high” to reach a goal, and a sense of accomplishment.
I don’t know but i hope she rams this down the entrenched, compromise for a win, Republican bourgeoisie. I like that real people are serving notice to all elected on both sides of the aisle, that they better toe the line or risk the unemployment line.
maybe, just maybe, it doesn’t serve the short-term good but I think there’s a whole lot of letters being written to people warning them to do what they were sent to do, and I think they’re feeling the heat…
The message is very clear.

Voters are tired of ‘entitlement’ career politicians that believe the seat ‘belongs’ to them due to ‘tenure’

Nov 2nd is going to be a refreshing day in this new homeland of mine.
Almost none of which has to do with O’Donnell, who’s been caught in several lies, is a complete deadbeat who has no meaningful source of income except campaign contributions (which is illegal), hasn’t paid her taxes, got her mortgage foreclosed on, is a failed business person, sued claiming gender discrimination…and she’s supposed to be a paragon of fiscal (or any kind for that matter) virtue?
The Dems themselves couldn’t have picked a better opponent.
Yeah that’s refreshing… she’s not going to be any better than any other politician in Washington.
Do you know nothing of the founding fathers or the long tradition of scoundrels and ne’er do wells in American politics?
My point is - if I have to vote for someone who paid their mortgage every month and is a statist crap weasel who never had a real job and some lady who missed a couple of credit card payments or whatever but wants to chop back the growth of the government beast consuming our futures, gee, I think I’ll give the lady a shot at it.
Not to mention the train wreck moron who had the seat before her - Joe “Bite Me” Biden, alledged DUI, alledged plagarist, serial liar etc. etc. etc.
As a libertarian I think she is a POS but her ideology is a complete 180 from “Coons” or whatever the fuck his name is.
Is like eating a turd. Do you want a light colored one or a dark colored one. For refrence we once had a pool on someone eating a turd with a fork and a knife for 750 bucks. First the notion that Mike Castle was a “statist” is nonsense.
Second that someone who can’t manage her own finances is somehow going to become a paragon of fiscal virtue in the government is somewhat delusional.
If the idea is to get rid of self-serving, dishonest politicians, than sending another one to Washington seems a bit inconsistent. Do you really think she’s going to serve ours? or her own interest? There is a difference between “words” (talking the talk) and “deeds” (walking the walk). If she hasn’t walked the walk yet, why is she suddenly going to start? No matter what things she says? What makes her any different than every other hack politician out there? From my perspective she’s exactly the same, if not worse.

I wouldn’t vote for Biden either. However Castle could have won, and thereby put Republicans in the driver’s seat of the Senate (you know the majority?), controlling legislation, putting them in an excellent position to reduce taxes, reduce spending, oppose ObamaCare and otherwise achieving far more in the way of changing the course of this country.
I worry that the 18 months out of power has not completely the GOP of their George Bush ‘Conservative’ ways. They needed 4 plus years to drain the swamp of the rats and get back to basics. This doesn’t teach them anything and well end up with Barry-lite if they get in.
I’m sick of the “Big tent” only being opened to RINOs. Barry was to the far left of his party- by his voting, cute speeches at the teachers union don’t count- and no one wondered if he was unelectable because of his politics. If the standard GOP thinks they are Bat Shit crazy, image what the far left thinks, it will make their head spin.
Look out, they went to state schools and don’t belong to country clubs! What ever are we to do!!!
