CHF effect on velocity

Searched the forums and couldn’t find anything. Does anyone have some chronograph data on similarly configured uppers between CHF and non CHF?

Standard 16" BCM barrel and 62gr M855: 2989
BFH 16" BCM barrel and 62gr M855: 2989

Velocities are the average of three 5-shot groups from 3 rifles of the same barrel length.

Why would you expect there to be a difference in velocity between a standard barrel and one that is cold hammer forged?:confused:

I would think there would be variables but they would be attributed to inconsistencies in the ammo, or barrels, not the process.

Yes ammo will have far more variation in it than how a barrel was made.
