I want to mount a light, just a light. I had regular carbine handguards then sold them and got a 2 piece DI quad rail (Midwest) Then I sold them because I really didn’t go for the VFG like I thought I would and now before I buy a set of MOE handguards can someone direct me if it’s possible to get a freefloat railed handguard set for under $100 before I buy the Magpul set?

If all you need is a light, why why spring for a whole new HG setup?
I just got that “never happy with what I got” syndrome and I had a $100 burning a hole in my pocket 
Actually I liked my MI handguards but I just felt that a 2 piece quad rail was limited so I sold it for what I paid, then thought I could live with a plain M4 handguard but no, wasn’t happy there either. The Moe looked promising but I couldn’t pass up a free float quad rail, now I can use all 4 rails if I choose.
Have you tried looking for KAC RAS rails used? IT is not free floated but I think a free floated rail is overkill on a carbine.
No I hadn’t tried looking for one, I did see a used Troy for low $120-130 range, Almost bought that but saw the YHM I found for $74 and I stopped looking
I might not like having the optic forward but I at least want to try it, I couldn’t do that with a 2 piece.
