Anyone change out you forend on your mossberg 590a1. If so how do you get the old one off?
Been a while since I looked at it but isn’t the 590 different?
I’ve replaced two 590A1 for ends with Surefire models and unscrewing the forend cap and pulling it off was all it took me.
Changed it this week. The foreend should be the same. I believe the A1 only has a thicker barrel any metal trigger guard.
Field strip the gun, pull the fore end assembly off, unscrew the nut that holds on the pump handle portion, reassemble.
Pretty easy.
