What’s the barrel o.d. on those?
Easy recce style using a KAC urx II rifle length rail, magpul ubr stock,KAC rear BUIS,
and probably acog 4x32mm scope.
Like this but with the ubber stock and an a acog

I have the same barrel and haven’t built on it either, bought it last May/April.
I’m working on a build now with a similar barrel. I am using these parts so far:
KAC SR15 E3 lower
CTR
MOE grip
Noveske QD end plate
KAC or Geissele trigger (have both, not sure which I want to use on this build)
MUR upper rec.
KAC rifle length URX II
KAC 600M micro buis
BCM GFH handle
Magpul AFG
Aimpoint T1 in ADM mount
Nikon 4.5 - 15x in ADM Recon mount for yotes
I went with the T1 & CTR to save some weight since this will be an all purpose rifle for me.
The barrel is .750 under the hand guard and .740 in front of the gas block.
recce wuth a 12" DD lite, and probley a nice 1.5x5 scope. Accutually what I plan to build.
Recces traditionally have stainless match grade barrels, as they are “precision” rifles…I had the impression this was a “heavy duty” barrel…not sure exactly what that means, though.
I’m leaning to scoping mine with a TA31F ACOG.
Pretty sure that barrel has precision and is also heavy duty;)

Long RIS II, but I’ll be using an ACOG.
and the term “Battle Rifle” might be more appropriate than Recce!

I put a Vltor MUR, TA11H ACOG, and LaRue 13.2" on mine. GREAT barrel.
What gas block did you use, Boss Hogg?
I’m still torn about this build…RIS II, or Vltor VIS monolith, midlength.
DD RIS 2, LaRue 11.0, or a URX rifle length.
For an optic either a T1 in a LT660, ACOG, or 1-4X scope.
I was thinking that an LMT monolithic upper might be just right.
I used a Vltor clamp-on. This was built in early 2009 so during the peak panic. The screw heads had to be filed down to clear the LaRue mounting hardware.
