Well, I spent the afternoon making up a shopping list with gotM4 to build a new upper so I can actually start shooting an AR again after six years.
You should get an AK!! 
They tried to convince me, but they kept telling me it had to be in 5.56mm … I think the Devil speaks through them.
Seriously, I’d hoped to walk out of there with a complete upper (miscommunication on my part). Since I live in MD, buying a rifle from them would have been problematic. In fact, I don’t even know if you can buy an AK in Maryland, we might have some kind of special anti-SKS/anti-AK law. We have a lot of laws.
Three months ago I had no idea what a “middy” carbine was. Tomorrow I’ll own one. Now I just have to learn how to shoot it without making an ass of myself.

I wonder if we now will be able to overturn the Washington State ban on using suppressors. We can obtain the NFA stamp and purchase a suppressor, but we’re not allowed to use them. 
Pretty ridiculous.
