I’m back from picking up my charles daly M4LE and things look pretty good so far. I’m surprised by how light it is compared to my dissipator. I can’t add much to what other people have said other than it is as described with one minor exception. I didn’t notice any t-marks on the upper which doesn’t matter since I’m putting a carry handle on it. Also the ejection port cover was kind of hard to close. Should that loosen up with time? Otherwise the gun looks great and I hope to shoot it soon.
Congradulations on the new CD:) Take another look at the upper CD’s T mark numbers are there they are just not highlighted in white. If they are not there just give them a call and I am sure that they will make it right. The ejection port cover latch will loosen up in time from use.
Henchman
hummmm ive had my m4 for a week now, i forgot about looking under the carry handle, yep mine has t-#
congrats on your LE.
SoDak,
Congratulations on your new CD!
Henchman is correct about us not highlighting our T-Marks. Please check again. If they aren’t there I will issue a FedEx Call Tag on Tuesday, get the gun back here right away, swap out the upper, fire my QC guy and then ship your properly marked gun back to you. It shouldn’t take but a few days.
J/K…I won’t fire him…but he will get what we call around here “a stern talking to”! ![]()
I looked and had another person look to make sure I was seeing it right, but there are no t-marks. It is not an issue to me Mr. Kassnar and considering how far from a fedex center I live, it’s not worth the trouble to send it in. I’m happy with it the way it is. Thank you for the offer, it is good to see a company offer that. If it would help tracking down the issue on your end, I got the gun out of Davidsons.
Oh, I got to run a mag through it and it shot great.
SoDak,
I appreciate your willingness to keep the gun as is, but it troubles me greatly that this got past our inspectors.
I believe that FedEx can be sent to collect the package from you so that you would not have to drop it off. Are you sure about this?
I will put the ball in your court one last time and if you say “drop it” then I will. However, should you elect to keep it as is I would appreciate it if you would PM me your full name and address so I can send you a “little” something.
Sincerely,
Thank you again for wanting to fix this. I’m too tired tonight to decide what to do, so if it’s okay with you I’ll think about this over the weekend and hopefully I have a decision by the beggining of next week(it sometimes take me a while to decide on things).
Take all the time you need SoDak. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Man that is awesome customer service!
Mr. Kassnar, I’m impressed with how you have handled this project from day one.
This is all good for AR buyers present and future.
I hope other vendors are paying attention. (If they aren’t, they will soon have to.)
Wow, I am impressed! My next AR will be a Charles Daly for sure!![]()
Im new to the board, just doing some research before I add a companion to the 6920 I have.
Seeing the head man take in interest in customer service is suprising, yet refreshing.
I have just added CD to my short list of possible purchase(s).
As with some companies (Colt/RRA), does CD offer LEO pricing??
If the head man is interested in QC that can be nothing but a great thing.I see way to many gun companies that could care less once it is sold. I salute you for being on top of the project.
I have to agree with Larry on the Charles Daily rifle. In all honesty, I haven’t been able to put one through the paces yet. But, I’ve handled one and was damn impressed. With work and my father just having been diagnosed with end stage emphysema, life has been a handful.
I’m hoping to get back soon to a person in here that might give me the opportunity to shoot this great rifle.
Sorry to hear about your dad Sandman. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Buckaroo
Who has these and @ what price?
Thanks brother! Your prayers are greatly appreciated. I should be in CONUS in about 3 days. The R&R with family & friends will be great! I might be able to grab one of the gun shows at home.
Sandman,
Sorry to hear this. It must be hard to deal with this while you are abroad serving our country. You and your family are in my prayers.
As with all your tests, I look forward to you putting a CD through its paces.
Best.
Again Thank You for your prayers! We’re hoping they caught my dad’s condition in its early stages. To my all my forum buddies in here that are smokers. Please quit!
I’m really looking forward to shooting the CD M4. I have a feeling that the Charles Daily rifle will be a force to be reckoned with. A new product that is so well made can only get better with time and experience with sustained production.
It is very clear from reading the posts in here that Mr. Kassnar takes QC very personally and seriously. This is indeed very refreshing and a much welcome addition to the firearms industry! When I see companies like Bushmaster trading off the safety of LEO’s and other customers for pennies, I really get pissed off. Especially since they know that the Bushies are standard issue to many police departments for both patrol and SWAT duty.
