Another reason why I hate this channel. I think this was extremely disrespectful to our Vietnam Vets.
The popular CBS reality show "The Amazing Race” is under fire for featuring an episode set in Hanoi, Vietnam, where contestants go to a B-52 Memorial, which is the wreckage of an American bomber plane shot down during the Vietnam War, to find the next clue in their televised round-the-world journey.
CBS… CBS… Oh YEAH - I remember them!!! Used to carry MAS*H, the NFC, and the occasional stock car race!
Are they STILL around? 
They counldn’t have been more offensive if they had Hanoi Jane as the host.
CBS’ “The Amazing Race” had its contestants travel to Hanoi, Vietnam where they learned communist anthems and were subjected to state propaganda. The contestants also traveled to Vietnam’s B-52 memorial, the site of a downed U.S. B-52 bomber.
The show also had contestants learn a song that was performed for them by children in front of a portrait of North Vietnam communist leader Ho Chi Minh, with subtitled lyrics that included “Vietnam Communist Party is glorious. The light is guiding us to victory.”
“It’s like One Direction,” one contestant said of the performance, referring to the popular boy band.

I don’t know. I view that B-52 as an homage to the brave Airmen who could have pounded Hanoi into dust had LBJ and McNamarra let them.
As much as I hate CBS (among others) I think this may be a bit of an over reaction.
How do people have the energy to go through life looking for things by which to be offended? Has anyone here seen the episode?’
Perhaps a bit of circumspection to withhold judgment until the episode airs?
Turns out there was a whole other nation/army who fought during the Vietnam War. They might disagree with your interpretation of events.
I see no problem with this. People should be able to touch and experience history, no matter what gets them there. It makes it real/concrete/tangible to them.
In the grand scheme of things, getting bent out of shape over a reality show is just plain silly.

yeah I saw it ? to me a US based show making them memorize part of a communist song from the war and then going to the war memorial and celebrate it is a bit pushing the agenda

go their do things but ya dont make a big happy moment about where airmen were killed and they put up a plaque about it
I guess it would be like wanting to have a Bday party for your white supremacy group at one of the holocaust sites
dont think that would go over to well to celebrate on the graves of others !
but visiting it is not the bad thing ! its how they made it part of a celebration of winning !
Craig Ferguson is the only reason to watch that channel.
They got NCIS about the only reason they stay around. Big Bang Theory might also be on there too.
