MyI searchfu isn’t good today. A couple of weeks ago I read several posts about gunsmiths shortening the Cavarms stock to Sully or entry length. I pulled the trigger on one and want to ship it off and have it cut. Who does this? Thanks in advance.
I bought mine cut from DFW guns.
on TOS there was a thread about cutting them

Who Huh What?
Cav’s stock is already A1 length. Which RE are people using for this?
Are you talking about a stock cut down to the lenge of the carbine buffer tube?

not mine from TOS:

still using standard carbine spring and buffer.

Mine is slightly longer, you can just see the edge of the rear sling slit in front of the buttpad.
It feels to me like a M4 stock 1 click out.

ETA: Mine

Markm,
The A-2 is too long for me for anything. 5/8" shorter is still too long for a handy, lightweight, inexpensive, 14.5" pencil carbine. This will be a no frills toy and loaner. MOE hardware, sling, TLR-1, and maybe a Burris FF. I’ve got just about everything except the lower already.
Thanks for the replies, it gets me a starting point. I will measure the lower and might do the alteration myself. A bandsaw and sandpaper might be all that I need.
