I enjoy the company of my dogs a lot more than most people I meet…not sure if they get the kitchen pass or not but I have sent more than one dangerous / sickly mutt to meet their maker when they came at me at the ranch.

I had this dog once that growled, and nipped at me every time it saw me with a gun, and over the years it just got worse.
Thankfully a neighbour got bit, and my mom had to put it down.
