I live in a nice upper middle class neighborhood and we are overwhelmed with Cats. I’m talking levels of domesticity that vary from buck wild to a lap cat. There are two dozen at least on my street.
I put in a nice vegtable and flower Garden every year and every year I end up running a dozen cats out of the gardens.
After replacing garlic and zucchini plants my new policy is a pellet gun. You’re in the Garden it one between the eyes.
There is a 50+ acre property next to me with several abandoned buildings which become cat dispensaries last spring.
So far its far less than you have, between half and a full dozen.
My bigger problem is a partially stray dog that lives on that property as well and takes giant dumps just outside my fenced in yard. She is pretty big too, looks like she has some Great Pyrenees in her. She does not seem hostile but has approached my wife as she leaves for work in the morning a couple of times and I am not happy about it.
I just can’t bring myself to shooting a cat or a dog unless they are an imminent threat. I just see my own cat and dog in every other cat and dog.
I can’t believe People feel like pouring some food in a bowl that you keep outside for any and every cat in the neighborhood is being a cat owner or responcable,
I can understand the empaty, but they’re becoming a real PITA.
