I’ve gotten a couple of in stock notifications from Midwayusa. I no longer need a carrier though. ![]()
Just bring back before panic priced bullets, powder and primers so we can shoot the guns we already have.
Remember how hard stripped lowers were to come by a month ago? I see it as a good thing… Pmags are still scarce but steel and aluminum mags are in abundance, it seems. Hopefully things will continue to look up from here.
I still need a FA carrier (A good one).
Midway shows all gone…
While I’m glad to see production diong it’s best to get out from behind the eight ball, I would also like to see the panic prices drop as well.
The real problem however, is the people that are not paying attention to the products being pumped out in overdrive and still snatching things up at 3~6 times their pre panic value, therefore raising the value of these products, keeping the prices raised and possibly permanently raising prices.
I still don’t get why BCGs are so hard to come by, and yet lowers aren’t. Makes no sense whatsoever.

BCM and WMD got them back in stock recently. But as you can imagine they all sold out in a few minutes. But I think they are starting to catch back up.![]()
I logged onto MidwayUSA and checked for BCG’s to see what was available. They must have sold out quickly.
People are retarded, BCM carriers were being flipped on eBay for $500+ and selling.
A fool and his money is soon parted.
Actually kinda wished I got in on that action… I had a few extra BCGs I could have unloaded for $$$. No matter…
Maybe “they” know something we don’t and only BCGs will be affected by the AWB. ![]()
How many BCGs per rifle does one dude need? Or are folks buying them up for future builds?
From what limited info I think I know the actual bolt carrier has a pretty long life, its the bolt that has the shorter life. ![]()
So a spare BCG or two plus a number of bolts tied to how many rounds one plans to send down range over an expected life (either yours or the rifle) would be a given way to calculate need vs. a panic driven decision. Right? Am I missing something in my thinking??
No you’re not missing anything. People are buying them all up and trying to flip them for cash. I’m sure a ton of people that buy them don’t need them.
People are buying BCGs to make money. There was one guy selling BCM BCGs on gun broker about 20 minutes after BCM ran out. He had 10 of them for $350 each. Not to hard to figure out what he was doing. He was able to snatch a bunch from BCM when they were in stock just to resell at a profit. Same thing was happening with Magpul magazines too.
Gotta love it… Especially in a time when we should all be banding together and hoping that more and more folks are new entries to the market… I’m all for making a buck, but there is a gray line here somewhere…
Saw that too. They could limit the amount per order like brownells and midway have done with several items.
Yep, Max of 2 BCGs per customer would be good. There are many of us out here that need 1 or 2 to finish a build and gougers are snatching up BCGs by the dozen only to resell for a profit. Really sucks.
Take comfort in knowing that some of these people will be stuck with items they purchased and be unable to sell them after the panic subsides. This panic buying will cease as quickly as it started.
That is what I keep telling myself… I almost believe myself too… ![]()
Just let me get a chainsaw or Vltor lower and I’ll be freaking happy.
