I have a 97s Carbon 15 Pistol and I want to buy a 9mm upper and a mag block.
Is this possible with this lower and buffer system ?
Or is this unit stuck running 5.56mm or 22lr?
I heard others that said they could but nothing solid that I read.
Its a proprietary bolt carrier and buffer tube arrangement, so I don’t see how you could get a 9mm upper to work… It looks like a 9mm bcg could be machined to work with the 97S system, but it would take some work. Just my .02
(BTW, I have a 97S in addition to my other “conventional” AR pistols, and it is a lot of fun…).
