I’m on the fence here, been researching a second rifle and cannot for the life of me decide between the BCM M4 Mod 2 and the Daniel Defense M4 V.2. In comparing specs, I feel that the DD offers more. Both have a carbine gas system that isn’t a concern to me.
I can get the DD $70.00 cheaper than the BCM as well. Thoughts? Anybody care to point out what I’m missing between the two? Which is the better buy? Warranty and CS reputations are about equal from what I can tell.
I would vote DD. Better barrel(both are fine though), better stock, a nice hard case, and a VFG. With the BCM you get a better BUIS. You really can’t go wrong with either but I vote DD for value for the $.
I just picked up a DD this weekend (upper only) The only deciding factor was local availability.
In my (very limited) opinion both are equally great. The DD had the config I wanted and I could get it at a great price when I wanted it. I would not have cried at all if it had been a DD instead.
Get the one you want now and then get the other for a 3rd rifle. If you get a second you’ll want a 3rd, and then a precision gun, middie, SBR, and on and on. It gets overwhelming. I’ve limited myself and would like to cut back even more, someday.
