I just use the cupboard and a set of cheap plastic shelves I bought from Walmart. Can’t really justify spending 100s of dollars on fancy can organizers…a good old fashion shelf does the job just fine.
Well I already have the shelves and one is really limited in seeing what is towards the back and underneath everything. The organizers I linked above are $15, inexpensive IMHO.
Those card board racks are crap and they don’t last long.
I came across a bunch of metal can racks that restaurants use when we stop by a out of business selling off the equipment sale for a restaurant five years ago. All we did was clean and repaint them and they have worked well for what we needed.
For me, I find the best value in storage solutions at auctions. Old filing cabinets(built way better than today’s), racks, etc. For cans, I got some old wood racks(for $5 each) that came out of an old library:
I think they iused to have magazines or hand outs on them? Anyway, they work great at keeping the old stuff to the front and the new stuff in the back.
Costco sells big heavy duty shelving units four around $140. I couldn’t stomach the cost of the canned food specific organizers. I also figured that if I ever had to use and ran out of canned food, the organizer would be useless.
