Can you suggest a tactical carbine case?

A couple of years ago, I bought a generic 34" tactical carbine case with 4 magazine pockets at a gun show. I stored 4 loaded mags in it and figured in a bug out situation, I’d through my M4gery in it and toss it in the car. Other than that, it was just used to transport my AR to the range and back. Now, I’ve finished my 2nd AR (16" middy) and I realize I need another case. Yesterday, I went to the range to fire both AR’s. One went in the case and the other had to be wrapped in a beach towel. Ughh! I’m waffeling between just buying a 2nd, similar case or picking up one of the nicer ones that will hold both AR’s at once. BTW, the 34" will hold either of my AR’s without separating the upper from the lower as long as I adjust the stock to fully collapsed. Therefore, I don’t really want to go much longer than that since I don’t want a bigger, bulkier bag than is needed. What would you guys suggest?

Tactical Tailor for a soft case and Pelican or Storm for a hard case.

Those look awesome, but I should have stated a budget. These hardly get used more than a couple of times per year so I can’t justify spending that much. Max of $40 for a single carbine case or $75 for a double.

so made in China and your good to go

My current bag is a Hafner Worldwide (found the tag after my OP) and is Made in USA. I’d really be happy to find another one just like it, but the only place I can find it online is direct from the manufacturer and it puts it just outside my budget to pay full MSRP. I found the one I have at a gun show.

I’ve got a Condor case (this one) that I bought from a friend that has held up pretty well, it just goes from the closet to the car to the range and back and is used to haul my carbine around at 2-gun matches. I wouldn’t recommend Condor for much of anything, but the case has held up okay and I’ll probably end up getting another one for my longer rifles and a double case for those trips when I’m taking multiple long guns. I think VooDoo Tactical has similar cases as well.

I’ve also got a Maxpedition 42" 2-gun (this one) case that I picked up when LA Police Gear was having a Maxpedition blowout sale. Works great for 3-gun when I have to haul a shotgun and carbine around. Also used it for an improvised shooting mat before too.

I use Pelican for my transport. But my 15-22 and my truck gun I just use a Blackhawk Sportster Tactical Rifle Case (42.5-Inch Long, Black).
Cheap but so far just for occasional use I have had zero problems .

I have a Boyt hard sided case that I typically use for transporting my rifles. I got it on sale for about $125 if I recall correctly. It’s great and I use it to transport my SBR, 16" Middy, LMT MWS, and or AK to and from the range, etc.

I have a hard time putting rifles that run $1500-$3500 in a cheapy soft case, but on the rare occasion that I do, it’s an Uncle Mikes I’ve had for several years. It’ll hold a rifle and about 4 mags, plus has a couple of other pockets. The body and zippers have held up well.

There are several pages of threads on case recommendations, many with photographs comparing the models. Recommend search terms, “discreet case”, “rifle case”, “rifle carry case”, and similar.
